Denver Museum of Nature and Science

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science will begin a year-long Education Collections Synthesis project to complete a comprehensive inventory, create an electronic catalog, and improve the contents of its Education Collections. A key resource dedicated for use in educational programming, the Education Collections allow visitors physical access to real museum objects in the disciplines of anthropology, earth sciences, health sciences, space sciences, zoology, and museology. Intellectual control of the Education Collections resulting from this project will further the goals of two of the initiatives in the museum’s strategic plan and ensure the utilization of scarce resources to care only for those objects that support scientifically accurate educational programs for diverse museum audiences.
