Neville Public Museum of Brown County
Log Number: MA-05-10-0093-10
The Neville Public Museum will catalog a collection of over one million negatives from the Green Bay Press-Gazette. The collection documents the daily life and major national and local events in the Midwestern region surrounding Green Bay, Wisconsin, from the late 1940s to the early 1980s. The museum will hire two part-time employees for a period of three years to accomplish the majority of the cataloging. Catalog records will be entered into the Museum’s collections database. At the end of the three-year project, the entire collection will be searchable through the computer catalog, providing more efficient and comprehensive searches. This collection is a significant resource for both scholars, the regional community, and beyond, and its cataloging will have an impact on the understanding and appreciation of the region’s history.
