Slate Valley Museum

The Slate Valley Museum will use its grant to support the completion of its Collection Digitization and Web Access Planning Project, an initiative aimed at creating a map to guide the museum in digitizing its collection and making relevant information, images, and recordings more readily available for visitors and stakeholders. During this year-long project, the museum will gather feedback from constituents regarding their current and potential future usage of its collections; design a policy to guide digitization and digital collecting; create a plan for digitizing the collection; and construct a plan for making digital materials available for on- and off-site visitors, particularly via the Internet and computer-based technologies.
