Log Number: MA-04-11-0479-11

The California Indian Museum and Cultural Center will create new resources for California teachers on the subject of California Indian history and culture, including the Spanish mission period, through a professional development Web site for K–12 teachers. The Web site will contain five storytelling podcasts by California Indians with interactive lesson plans, fourth-grade class project ideas, a social networking forum, and resources to provide new supplements to existing mission educational materials. The center will engage a tribal community curator, a six-member community advisory committee composed of community and academic subject matter experts, and five tribal informants.
