Willamette Heritage Center

The Willamette Heritage Center’s “Reinterpretation of and New Exhibitry in the Three Historic Houses” will update and change the focus of the center’s three early settlement houses (Lee, Parsonage, and Boon houses) to bring them in line with the center’s new vision. The center will combine excellence in preservation and scholarship with high-quality exhibits and programs that serve a diverse public. Each of the center’s three historic houses will interpret the history of the people, families, and community of the mid-Willamette Valley. The center will be a resource for area teachers and their students to understand their community’s heritage. Additionally, visitors will understand the interconnectedness of history. Visitors will have more access to historic collections and have opportunities to engage and explore history with others.
