New England Ski Museum

Log Number: MA-04-11-0425-11

The New England Ski Museum will revise the museum’s permanent exhibition to expand interpretation of the history, geography, sociology, demography, and overall significance of skiing as a sport, economic engine, military strategy, and recreational activity. The exhibition will incorporate original film vignettes, drawn from the museum’s large collection of historic films, to enliven the displays through testimonial accounts. Touch-screen monitors will allow visitors to explore subjects that complement or expand the exhibition themes. The project will also support strengthening the museum’s docent program in order to provide an enhanced educational experience for the more than 35,000 annual museum visitors.
