Wildlife Conservation Society (International Wildlife Park (Bronx Zoo ))

The Bronx Zoo will develop and design a new children's exhibition called “Safari Adventure.” The project provides an introduction to wildlife for children in the Bronx, and throughout the metropolitan area of New York, many of whom have little contact with nature. The exhibit will have two learning goals: 1) adults will learn how important it is for children to spend time in nature, become more aware of green spaces in the community, and more informed about how they can help wildlife; and 2) children will make connections between the animals in Africa and the animals in their everyday lives and learn about different ways to care for animals.
