Walker Art Center

Through its ArtNET project, the Walker Art Center will support K–12 educators as they incorporate new standards into their teaching. With the newly redesigned www.ArtsConnectEd.org (ACE) Web site at its core, this outreach and engagement initiative will 1) broaden the museum’s audience for ACE through innovative outreach to make more Minnesota teachers and students aware of this resource for arts learning; 2) deepen its engagement with K–12 educators to provide extended and intensive opportunities to strengthen arts teaching using ACE in light of new standards; and 3) enhance the museum’s capacity to create innovative content for ACE focused on arts-integrated teaching and supporting the acquisition of 21st century skills. As a result, the museum will increase its ability to support arts education and the acquisition of 21st century skills in Minnesota.
