Portland Art Museum

The Portland Art Museum will develop new more effective models for engaging schools and teachers with “Object Stories Summer Institute.” This effort builds upon the museum’s current educational initiative, “Object Stories,” a program that connects the personal stories of visitors to the museum’s collection, into middle school tours and classroom activities in a way that supports school learning objectives. The project underscores the museum’s commitment to educational programs that provide multidirectional exploration of works of art, and it will involve teachers and artists from a variety of disciplines.
