Penobscot Marine Museum

Building on a previous Museums for America grant, the Penobscot Marine Museum will expand and upgrade educational outreach programs to students of all ages through its successful Maritime History and Literacy Curriculum. The grant will help reach additional elementary schools, modify elements of the program for preschool students, increase learning opportunities for secondary students by updating the its Web site, and aligning museum resources to address new state learning standards. Educational services include school programs, museum curriculum kits and an expanded Web site.
