Peralta Hacienda Historical Park

Peralta Hacienda Historical Park will use its funding to strengthen its relationship with its surrounding community by involving new groups as exhibit developers, tour leaders, oral history subjects, audience, and potentially as board members and staff. The project will carry out two programs, one for creating community exhibits and one for empowering community members to lead historical tours using their own stories. Project activities will include the production of two training manuals with life stories and dialogue interwoven with history, written and recorded Spanish and Mien tours, and the collection and recording of the oral histories of the 60 to 70 community members who are projected to take the training.
