Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco

The Fine Arts Museums will introduce a year-long paid fellowship program entitled “Artist Fellows,” a new component of their Cultural Encounters initiative. This program will provide local artists with the money, time, space, access, and organizational support to explore new avenues in their work, collaborate with fellow artists, access the museums’ resources, present their work at the de Young Museum, and curate a program series for presentation at the de Young. The Fine Arts Museums will create more meaningful opportunities for audience engagement, broaden the organization’s artistic vision and vocabulary, and enable artists from across disciplines to deepen their work and advance their careers.
