The Chrysler Museum of Art will install a fully functioning Glass Studio, a space for learning, audience engagement, and artistic expression. The studio will offer a wide range of programs including special demonstrations for school groups, coordinated with Virginia’s Standards of Learning, to address specific topics including the chemistry, physics, economics, and ecological impact of glassmaking, as well as historical processes and techniques. The museum will also provide participants the opportunity to take part in the artist-in-residence program, which brings together both established and emerging glass artists.
