Andrew Jackson's Hermitage
Log Number: MA-04-11-0083-11
The Hermitage: Home of President Andrew Jackson will focus on programming for its local community of 110,000 Middle Tennesseans. It will hire a new staff member, a director of public programs and volunteers, who will manage all of the nonschool programming. Over a three-year period, the museum will increase programming options, as well as develop a stronger volunteer program and membership program. The association will provide one additional annual large-scale event, increase the impact of Hermitage Holidays, and upgrade programs like the “Battle of New Orleans,” “Black History Month,” “Jackson’s Birthday,” “Sundays Live Living History Demonstrations,” and the “Naturalization Ceremony.”
