The Arab American National Museum will expand its educational outreach program, “Understanding Arabs, Arab Americans and Islam,” to high school and college students in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio to meet an increased public demand for accurate and objective information. This project will include training and workshops for students and educators; public dissemination of comprehensive educational materials; developing and touring two traveling exhibits depicting Arab American religious diversity and comparing the three monotheistic religions; and creating two new community-based digital resources. This will project will make it possible for users to document and share their histories with local, national, and international audiences. The project will expand the museum’s capacity and visibility as a resource for information about Arab Americans.
