Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department (Tamarack Nature Center)

In preparation for the opening of the new “Destination for Discovery” outdoor play and nature interpretive exhibits, Tamarack Nature Center will enlist staff, project partners, and stakeholders to partake in an Interpretive Planning Process. The process will include a critical, in-depth interpretive strategic planning process, which will take into consideration organizational readiness (impact to current operations), business planning, and interpretive design that incorporate the perfect blend of architecture, landscape architecture, and message elements. The goal of the plan is to create a seamless experience for visitors where the center’s mission and message—”to discover the value of nature through art, play, exploration and inquiry”—is evident throughout.
