Parrish Art Museum

The Parrish Art Museum will document the story of the art and artists of the East End of Long Island through the creation of a virtual community narrative archive, “Your East End Stories,” and the enhancement of the East End Stories Web site. The story of East End artists has been central to the fabric of the Long Island community for over a century and figures prominently in international art history. A wealth of stories, memories, personal narratives, and factual data about the lives and work of these artists, and their interactions with the community, will be captured and preserved for future generations. The Parrish Art Museum will take a leadership role to collect, catalogue, manage, and maintain a database of this essential knowledge, which will be available both onsite and online.
