Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art

Log Number: MA-04-10-0352-10

The Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art will create interpretive exhibition materials for museum visitors of all ages on the life and work of three significant figures who personify the museum’s mission to promote and preserve the cultural heritage of the Mississippi Gulf Coast: Biloxi master potter George Edgar Ohr (1857–1918), Biloxi master craftsman Pleasant Reed (1854–1936), and the new museum’s renowned architect Frank Gehry (b. 1929). The museum will also create instruction templates for curriculum development that integrates exhibition materials and object-based learning with the State of Mississippi Standard Course of Curriculum through a collaborative effort with K–12 faculty and students in the three Mississippi coastal counties of Harrison, Hancock, and Jackson.
