WOW! Children's Museum

WOW! World of Wonder Children’s Museum will fund “Sun-sational Energy and Science,” an exhibit designed especially for families with children aged 4 to 11, as well as science- and technology-focused educators and community groups. The project will utilize solar science resources available in Colorado, particularly from the scientists at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, engineers and physicists at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and the staff at Namasté Solar. Four cluster areas will each focus on different learning styles and will include: a heliostat, prism table, reflections of a star, pendulum table, solar water table/solar panels, interactive media/video game, video panel featuring sunspots, and three-dimensional models of the sun. Accompanying programs will include special workshops, activities in the science kitchen and art studio, a curriculum companion for teachers, and pre- and post-visit activities.
