The Franklin County Historical Society (COSI Columbus) will design, develop, and evaluate “Energy Investigation Stations,” two mobile experience platforms that will teach visitors to apply critical thinking skills to human energy consumption. The experience platforms will convey information about energy in a manner that is easily updated so that, as technology evolves, information can be changed and remain current. The experience platforms will be designed to promote social learning by accommodating small groups and including interactive elements in which two or more people can be involved; associated programming will provide a more personalized experience. The “Investigation Stations” will help visitors understand that energy efficiency is the most important “fuel” of the future and that the choices they make regarding energy are important.
