Brukner Nature Center
Log Number: MA-04-10-0063-10
Brukner Nature Center is home to over forty permanently injured representatives of native Ohio species (wildlife ambassadors) including a bobcat, foxes, birds of prey, opossums, squirrels, reptiles, and amphibians. The indoor interpretive area will be expanded into a nearby classroom. The larger space will feature hands-on exhibits about the wildlife ambassadors that feature artifacts and dynamic graphics that detail their natural history and native habitats. The new area will also include a theater that will allow visitors to view a live wildlife program or nature video. The indoor exhibit ties directly to what visitors can experience in the preserve, drawing them outdoors for a hike or other exploration. The displays will highlight energy efficiency and green choices, promoting interest in the outdoors and servings as a community model for environmentally responsible decision-making at home.
