The Minnesota Department of Education- State Library Services will use funds under the American Rescue Plan Act to help communities respond directly and immediately to the pandemic, as well as to related economic and community needs through equitable approaches in digital inclusion and library services. They will continue to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2018-2022. In Minnesota, specific goals address 1) Library services and policies promoting barrier-free access; 2) Libraries contributing to the World's Best Workforce; 3) Libraries responding to diverse community needs; 4) Library value being measured and demonstrated; and 5) Libraries facilitating digital equity and literacy.
