Maryland State Library Agency

The Maryland State Library will use funds to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2018-2022, which reflect the purposes and priorities of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). In Maryland, specific goals address 1) strengthening libraries’ institutional capacity through collaborative continuing education and staff development opportunities; 2) helping libraries improve access to information for their users; 3) helping libraries develop lifelong learning opportunities to improve users’ formal education and general knowledge and skills; and 4) helping libraries foster economic and employment development opportunities in order to facilitate job growth in Maryland
