Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum

This two-year research project will explore the experience of African American educators during the years of change from segregated to integrated public schools. The project will result in a process through which African Americans will advise two local museums (the Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum and the Banneker-Douglass Museum) and an academic Library (the Southern Maryland Studies Center at the Charles County Community College Library), on the overall direction of an exhibition.
