Pacific Library Partnership

The Pacific Library Partnership will develop a variety of scalable approaches for the successful replication of a library volunteer initiative in multiple states in “Get Involved: Powered by Your Library,” a collaboration of the state libraries of California, Idaho, Arizona and Texas, and VolunteerMatch. The project team will meet in person and in a series of online meetings to review the implementation steps and results of Get Involved efforts in California and Idaho. The project’s primary audience is library staff and secondarily, the public, who are potential volunteers once library staff are trained to develop the opportunities and engagement practices to attract and retain them. Get Involved will increase the number and variety of library volunteers and will measure how a library volunteer experience leads to other forms of library support.
