Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum

The Tchefuncte Lighthouse is the oldest and most intact of the lighthouses in the New Orleans area. The museum oversees this structure and will use the IMLS grant of $25,000 to restore and stabilize the lighthouse’s windows, door, and external brickwork that were damaged in the hurricane.
