Oklahoma Department of Libraries

The Oklahoma Department of Libraries with the Oklahoma Historical Records Advisory Board and the Oklahoma Museums Association will assess the feasibility of developing the Oklahoma Cultural Trust. The collaboration will facilitate partnerships with other state agencies, funders, educational institutions, and cultural stakeholders to address cultural development initiatives in a cohesive, coordinated fashion. Project activities include the appointment of a statewide Cultural Trust Task Force, the development of an informational website, a statewide media campaign, five public forums, one statewide summit, and the development of a strategic plan to address the needs of the 650 museums, libraries and archives in the state.
