Florida Association of Museums

A state-wide steering committee will guide the development of three or more regional forums to be held in three regions of the state – Miami, Orlando, and Tallahassee. The forums will include sessions for professionals to identify major collections-related issues and identify issues that can be solved locally, as well as a high profile education session for elected officials responsible for collections within their jurisdiction. The forums will be held in tandem with the Florida Association of Museums Foundation (FAMF)’s regional workshops on collections care. The steering committee will include representatives from the museum, archive, library, and archeology fields.
