Louisiana Gumbo will give educators, students, and independent learners across the nation a taste of Louisiana's hidden treasures by digitizing vintage jazz radio broadcasts, interviews and performances, musical instruments, Acadian textiles, costumes, flags, parade bulletins and posters, historical paintings and maps, photographs, documents, and science and technology artifacts held by the State Library of Louisiana, the Louisiana State Museum, and the Historic New Orleans Collection. Digital resources will be accessible via the Louisiana Digital Library Web site. Accompanying standards-based instructional materials will be accessible via the Louisiana Department of Education Web site.
