In this three-year project, the University of California at Merced Library, in collaboration with the Ruth and Sherman Lee Institute for Japanese Art at the Clark Center in the San Joaquin Valley region, will pilot a model of collaboration for developing significant online research collections through the use of Metadata Encoding and Transmission Standard (METS) encoding. as well as digitize holdings of the Institute, including 454 hanging scrolls and 46 folding screens.
