Washington State Library

The Wisconsin State Library Agency, Washington State Library, Game to Grow, Field Day Lab at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Heart of the Deernicorn, and WiLS, with the support of the Chief Officers of State Library Agencies (COSLA) and the American Library Association’s Games & Gaming Round Table, will develop and disseminate a comprehensive research report and digital toolkit to guide libraries in implementing games-based services. The project will be structured into three phases: 1) initial pilot programming and research; 2) expansion and community practice workshops; and 3) the creation and dissemination of a digital toolkit. Expected outcomes include an analysis of games-based library services and a toolkit that provides libraries with practical recommendations for budgeting, funding, methodologies, overcoming challenges, and ensuring equity and accessibility.
