New Jersey State Library

In partnership with the New Jersey Association of School Librarians, LibraryLinkNJ, and the New Jersey Department of Education, the New Jersey State Library will: 1) support the development of information literacy education standards; 2) develop and sequence curriculum for K-12 grade bands that teach to the emerging information literacy standards; 3) provide professional development to library media specialists, public librarians, academic librarians, and teachers; 4) support local implementation and assessment of the information literacy curriculum and standards; 5) develop online training modules to support widespread implementation of information literacy education; and 6) hold a National Forum to examine the role of information literacy in formal and informal educational settings.
