This grant will support the inclusion of up to 50 public libraries in diverse U.S. communities in the second phase of Culture & Community in a Time of Transformation: A Special Edition of Culture Track. This national research initiative involves large-scale surveys of the general U.S. adult population and the users and participants of libraries, museums, and other cultural and community organizations, with the goals of understanding people's pandemic-era experiences and needs and informing post-pandemic efforts by cultural enterprises to serve and engage their communities more equitably in the recovery ahead. The project will include libraries-specific analysis of the survey data; development of a summary report; and presentation of those findings at three online convenings in the public libraries field.
