Mote Marine Aquarium

Mote Marine Aquarium will partner with a group of libraries, science centers, aquariums, and a zoo in an innovative and interactive videoconferencing project. The institutions participating vary in size, scope, and geographic location, extending from Alaska to Florida. The partners will develop a "Digital Docent" that will engage visitors through traveling exhibits. Each exhibit will consist of a physical traveling exhibit that will be shipped to the partner site combined with live, interactive videoconference presentations from educators at Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium. Findings will be used to create a comprehensive How-to Guide for libraries and museums wishing to employ the "Digital Docent" model.
