Phillips Collection

The Phillips Collection, in partnership with Turning the Page, a Washington, DC based non-profit organization that uses children's literature to increase family involvement will develop a four session workshop series based on the museums' existing Art of the City initiative. The two groups will work with four DC public schools to improve children's literacy skills and instill a life-long love of learning through the use of the museum's collection. The museum will also train teachers to use Art of the City themes in their classroom across the curriculum and to develop strategies to include family participation in these classroom art projects.
