Art Institute of Chicago

The Art Institute of Chicago will launch the pilot phase of Art Explorer, an easy-to-use online educational tool that will enable any K-12 teacher to link interdisciplinary curricula to the museum's permanent collection. The pilot module will provide a pathway through rich content on the museum's world-renowned collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist Art, offering curricular links to subjects such as history and social studies. This user-searchable tool will enable teachers to easily retrieve and organize an extensive body of images and interpretive information, supporting educators in using the Art Institute as an invaluable resource in their teaching.
