The University of Illinois Libraries will lead a project to update the IMLS Framework of Guidance for Building Good Digital Collections. This web-based document was created in 2001 and has served as a valuable resource for libraries, museums, and archives creating digital collections. The document was last updated in 2007. The library will lead a small team of technical experts representing a wide range of cultural heritage organizations, to update existing sections of the framework and to add new content reflecting changes that have occurred in the digital library landscape during the past five years.
