National WASP WWII Museum

Log Number: IGSM-259470-OMS-26

The National WASP WWII Museum will expand its ability to deliver experiential, history-based leadership education to rural students across Texas and the nation through the Flight Path: The WASP Museum Leadership Initiative. The project connects World War II cockpit decision-making, resilience, and discipline to the executive functioning skills needed by today’s youth. Project activities include developing curriculum modules and educator guides, conducting national educator outreach, expanding traveling education kits, creating a limited podcast series, and evaluating the program. Project results will include expanded educational infrastructure and increased access to the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) story through mobile outreach programming, traveling classroom kits, curriculum resources, and a podcast series. The primary beneficiaries of this project are middle and high school students in rural Texas.
