Sigal Music Museum

Sigal Music Museum will partner with Greenville County Schools to provide local middle and high school music departments with digital versions of 12 historic keyboard instruments in its collection, including a 1761 harpsichord played by a young Mozart. The Museum will contract with an audio engineer to create a software plug-in that digitally replicates the instruments. Project activities include the purchase and installation of digital keyboards, computer equipment, and software for 10 participating schools. Museum staff will provide tutorials, training, and lesson plans for associated programming. The project will benefit students, educators, musicians, and scholars by expanding the study of these instruments to playable experiences.
