New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (National Hispanic Cultural Center)

The National Hispanic Cultural Center will pursue internal capacity building to strengthen its impact within the organization and the larger community. The center will invest in professional development to enhance and update professional museum practices, build staff knowledge and confidence through training and conferences, and develop sustainable work models to meet staff needs. In addition, it will implement program evaluation focused on visitor experience, belonging, and cultural connectedness. The project will support staff travel to attend conferences, hosting of community listening sessions, and contracting with consultants to facilitate specialized training. The project will strengthen institutional cohesion, empower staff, and advance culturally responsive, visitor-informed programs and exhibitions, benefiting both staff and visitors.
