Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History

Log Number: IGSM-255818-OMS-24

The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History will develop an Interpretive Master Plan aligned with its strategic plan and new mission to strengthen its emphasis on cultural history and community building. The project team will identify interpretive themes, define its audiences and partners, and strategize its reach and mode of engagement with local communities. The museum will contract with community leaders, a graphic artist, and a consultant to help facilitate and develop the interpretive master plan. Completion of the interpretive plan will result in internal and external capacity building and will serve as a communication and planning tool for the entire institution. Beneficiaries include staff, visitors, and the residents of Monterey County, particularly those previously underserved by the museum, including local Indigenous groups, Chinese Americans, and the Latino community.
