Zoo Boise

Log Number: IGSM-255495-OMS-24

Friends of Zoo Boise will produce and install 27 interpretative signs for animal exhibits in its new education facility and renovated Small Animal Kingdom. Visitors will learn about the animals living in these exhibits, how the zoo ensures animal well-being, and ways to protect animals in the wild. The interpretive elements are grounded in best practices for fostering empathy for wildlife. The museum will purchase aluminum composite signs for indoor use and high-pressure laminate signs for outdoor spaces and will contract with the vendor for sign installation. The project team will conduct surveys and evaluations to measure learning and behavior change outcomes of visitors and program participants. The new signage will benefit zoo guests and education program participants and will increase their understanding of, and empathy for, the animals living at Zoo Boise.
