Lafayette Historical Society

The Lafayette History Museum will conduct an inventory of its collection of approximately 4,000 artifacts and increase digital access to the material. The museum’s collection includes agricultural and coal mining tools, textiles, archival documents, oral histories, maps, and photographs pertaining to the history of Lafayette, Colorado. The museum will hire a collections assistant to help complete the inventory and train volunteer and paid student interns in object handling and digital asset management. Additionally, the project team will upload digitized records to an online collections database. Once completed, the updated database will allow for the public and researchers to access the collection more easily.
