City of Aurora Illinois (Aurora Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Museum)

The Aurora Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Museum will inventory and rehouse objects in newly purchased storage cabinetry for its collections related to the history of wartime and subsequent peacetime experiences of the community and its veterans. Museum staff will follow recommendations identified in a Collections Assessment for Preservation (CAP) report. During the rehousing process, staff will inventory and complete a condition assessment of the collection. Beneficiaries of the project will include museum staff, military historians, and residents of the city of Aurora and the surrounding areas.
