Troy University (Rosa Parks Museum)

The Rosa Parks Museum at Troy University will create a mobile app to foster deeper engagement with museum content, make the museum more accessible to non-English speaking visitors, and make the museum content accessible virtually. Project activities will include creating a storyboard, incorporating mixed reality technology, such as video, audio, and live simulation, and assembling a panel of humanities scholars to assist with content development. The app will allow users to have an immersive experience with primary sources from the museum’s collection, and gain a deeper understanding that, regardless of color, Black history is the story of our shared history and experiences. The app will be available in different languages to people around the world.
