Sea Turtle Inc.

Sea Turtle Inc. will increase accessibility to its onsite school programs by designing a state-of-the-art education classroom in order to provide quality science-based education programs in alignment with Texas state science standards. Project activities will include outfitting the classroom with updated equipment and technology, and developing curriculum for 5th-12th grade school groups with a focus on the Rio Grande Valley. Through hands-on, interactive activities, students will learn about an array of scientific topics including: classification, adaptations, anatomy, water quality, pH, salinity, and current climate change impacts. An evaluation plan will include surveying workshop participants to ensure that students learn about the importance of the marine environment, which will help foster the next generation of ocean stewards.
