Boscobel House and Gardens

Boscobel House and Gardens will develop an interpretive plan that expands, modernizes, and revitalizes its museum interpretation and related programming. Based on recommendations from the museum’s participation in two Museum Assessment Programs (MAP), the plan will focus on the engagement and educational value of personal facilitated experiences, while incorporating a greater variety of formats and expanded accessibility. Project activities will include determining interpretive themes; inventorying existing resources; developing a variety of interpretive programming models with associated evaluation frameworks; testing pilot programs and identifying additional resources needed; and developing a framework for consistent, ongoing program evaluation. The resulting interpretive plan will expand Boscobel's capacity to achieve its mission, broaden access to its resources, and serve the public more effectively.
