City of Platteville (Mining and Rollo Jamison Museums)

The Mining and Rollo Jamison Museums will strengthen the long-term preservation and accessibility of its collections by acting on recommendations from a Collections Assessment for Preservation (CAP) report. Project activities will include developing and implementing collections preservation, preparedness, and monitoring plans; completing an inventory and digital catalog; and prioritizing at-risk collections in need of specific long-term care and management. The project will provide greater physical accessibility of the collection as a whole and improve intellectual control of the collection for the benefit of museum staff, researchers, students, and the public.
