Harry Jackson Institute

Log Number: IGSM-251659-OMS-22

The Harry Jackson Institute will collaborate with an architectural professional to produce an architectural program statement that will provide guidance for the future development of the museum facility. The museum cares for more than 5,000 objects representing the life of artist Harry Jackson, and recommendations from its participation in a Conservation Assessment for Preservation (CAP) program established the rehousing of these objects in a permanent storage space as a top priority. The consulting architect will lead the project team through a series of activities to gather data as well as input from stakeholders. The project will produce schematic designs, supporting the next phases of architectural planning. In addition to providing initial cost estimates, the project will enable the museum to envision a safe, environmentally controlled space for storage, exhibition, and workspaces to meet future needs.
