Osceola History

Log Number: IGSM-251653-OMS-22

Osceola History will create a new, permanent exhibit dedicated to Hispanic culture, reflecting the significant influx of immigration to the region in recent decades. The project will build on the museum’s work since 2020 to engage the Hispanic community in a series of focus groups, the translation of its printed materials into Spanish, and the installation of a temporary exhibit with the same theme along with educational programming and family-based events. The museum will engage an exhibit design firm to design, fabricate, and create interpretive signage for the new exhibit. The resulting exhibit will reflect the importance of the cultural influences brought to central Florida by the growing Hispanic population, while enabling the museum to create a stronger sense of community and belonging in which all audiences can see themselves represented.
